Head Gods and Myths and Legends,
God of the winds Aeolus big h45 l34 p28

It was entirely handmade in shape and color, for the decoration was used a modern technique that allowed to obtain very particular colors,
I guarantee that the photos fail to capture its shapes and its beautiful colors,
This is ceramics, this is art.

And a big head that deserves a place in sight that highlights its particularity

alone already an element of the highest artistic value that can still be enhanced by a plant placed inside
Because it too, like the other heads, is empty inside.

A legend tells of Aeolus, a Greek prince, who ruled a colony on the Aeolian Islands. Being an insightful man, he achieved a certain fame because he could predict the weather from the shape of the clouds of vapors overlooking an active volcano, probably Stromboli.

The locals were fishermen and knowledge of the weather conditions was an important element of their daily lives. Thus, probably, with the passing of generations the ability to predict events has been confused with the ability to make them happen, so it is not surprising that in mythology we meet Aeolus as the God of the wind. According to Greek mythology, Aeolus, God of the Winds, is the son of Poseidon and Arne and was given the task of controlling the Winds by Zeus. Aeolus directed them and freed them, guarding them inside the caves and inside a wineskin in Lipari, one of the Aeolian Islands, where he had his palace.

The Winds, after causing great damage including the detachment of Sicily of the continent, had to be kept under control. Among these were four brothers who represented the main winds: Boreas, the most violent, North Wind who for love of the mares of Dardanus turned into a horse and generated twelve foals as fast as the wind; Zephyr, West Wind, sweet and beneficial that announces spring; Euro, East wind, sometimes stormy and sometimes dry that brought good weather; Austro, South Wind, very hot and bringing rain depicted always wet.
